I am currently reading for a DPhil in Computer Science at the University of Oxford in the OMNI Lab, jointly supervised by Dr. Ana IL Namburete and Dr. Michael Gray. I am based at the Department of Computer Science and funded by the Clarendon Fund.
My research applies 3D reconstruction techniques commonly used in computer vision to fetal brain imaging. I develop NeRF-like models for ultrasound images to reduce shadows and artefacts, improving the diagnostic value of ultrasound imaging for fetal brain assessment. My previous research at Siemens Healthineers focused on metal arthefact detections and simulation in Cone Beam CT images building on my Bachelors thesis which I have written in Adam Wang’s group at Stanford University.
Prior to starting my PhD, I studied Biomedical Engineering and Medical Image and Data Processing at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, with a focus on medical image processing. I also completed a double degree with Universita della Svizzera italiana in Computational Engineering and Computational Science.
